"Worms and parasites": Ukrainian singer calls for more active fight against UOC

Ukrainian singer Kateryna Kondratenko (Katya Chili) called for an active struggle against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She called the clergy and believers of the Church “worms” and “parasites,” adding that the influence of the UOC in Ukraine should not be underestimated and that we should stop being tolerant towards them. The singer wrote about this on her Facebook page.
“The power of the MP in Ukraine should not be underestimated. It is enormous and soon it will begin to raise its head. I just wonder why they are still here as an institution. With so much land and minds in their possession. The issue of the Lavra is not resolved. And the issue of sacred places in Ukraine, which are now being bought out for mining during the war. Our mistake is that we twitch and constantly change our position to be even more tolerant until the parasite eats us and says that it is his. The strength of the other side is that since Kateryna’s time, their strategy has not changed, only mistakes have been worked on and improved,” — the singer wrote.
In the comments to her post, Kondratenko added that the UOC should be dealt with like “worms” by clearing the “alkaline environment”.
“Worms eat the dead, which thinks it is alive until it becomes dead. It is necessary to raise immunity and alkaline environment. To a certain extent, worms are really a victim of persecution. If we choose life,” — the singer added.
As reported, on July 21, 2024, during the Atlas Weekend music festival in Kyiv, the frontman of the Odesa-based band Hatespeech, Dmitry Odnorozhenko, called for physical violence against the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in an obscene manner. Odnorozhenko said that the only way to resolve the issue with the UOC was to “take things into our own hands.”
