A meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC takes place in Kyiv

On December 24, 2024, the last meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is taking place in Kyiv. Before the start of the Synod, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine and the bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prayed at the Divine Liturgy before the start of the work of the Holy Synod of the UOC at the Panteleimon Monastery (Feofania). This was reported by the official website of the UOC.
“After the service, a meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be held. The Primate and hierarchs of the UOC will consider issues of church life and summarize the results for 2024,” – the statement says.
As reported, the previous Synod of the UOC, which was held on October 23, 2024, classified its decisions and did not publish any data on what exactly was discussed at the meeting.
