Chernivtsi Regional Administration Reports on “Conversions” to the OCU After the Ban on the UOC

The Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration has reported the number of UOC parishes in the region. Following the adoption of the law banning the UOC, most communities in the region remained within the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This data was published by Glavkom in an article titled “Law on the Ban of the Moscow Church: and Yet the Cart Stands Still. Who Is Sabotaging the Process?”

According to the published information, out of 367 UOC communities, only 30 switched to the OCU after the law came into effect.

It was previously reported that, according to the official data from the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, not a single religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ternopil Region has transitioned to the OCU since the law’s adoption.
