A Significant Portion of Ukrainians Support Repealing the Law Banning the UOC to End the War

According to a survey conducted by “Suspilne,” 45% of Ukrainians expressed support for repealing the law that allows banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) if it helps to end the war in the country. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Politika Strany.”
Among those who support repealing the law, 24% consider this decision “completely acceptable,” while 21% find it “rather acceptable.”
At the same time, 37% of respondents hold the opposite view. Of these, 18% said they are “rather against” repealing the law, and 19% are “categorically against.”
Earlier, it was reported that political analyst Volodymyr Tsybulko believes that the authorities are deliberately delaying the resolution of the issue concerning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. According to him, after the death of Andriy Portnov, who for some time oversaw contacts with the UOC, the Office of the President decided to preserve it as a political asset.
