National Reserve resumes work of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra "in test mode"

National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” reopens its doors to visitors from February 12, resuming work in a test mode. Access will be available daily from 9:00 to 17:00.
According to the press service of the National Reserve, the decision to resume work was made in connection with the retreat of frost, because of which the institution was temporarily closed. Earlier, since February 3, visiting the Lavra was suspended due to worsening weather conditions and a critical drop in temperature.
For those wishing to familiarize themselves with the history and architecture of Lavra, sightseeing tours will be held. They are available from 9:00 to 16:00. Visitors will be able to see the following objects:
- The territory of the Upper Lavra;
- Assumption Cathedral (building No. 80);
- Church of Saints Anthony and Theodosius of Pechersk with refectory (building No. 29);
- Exhibition “Frescoes of the Church of the Savior on Berestovo of the XVII century” (building No. 25).
Recall, earlier we reported that the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” concluded a contract for services of protection of the territory and premises until the end of 2026. The total value of the contract amounted to more than 27.5 million hryvnias.
