In Kyiv, provocations are being planned outside the courthouse where the case involving the Upper Lavra is being heard

Ahead of the court hearing on the case of the Upper Lavra in Kyiv, scheduled for November 3, 2026, representatives of radical organizations are calling on their supporters to stage protests to put pressure on the judicial authorities. The aim of these actions is to influence judges, clergy, and attorneys representing the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The rally was initiated by right-wing radical and extremist Dmytro Korchynskyi, who, in his public statements, has leveled a series of accusations against the UOC, describing the monastery as an “FSB cell” and claiming, without providing evidence, that judges had been bribed. The organizers plan to gather supporters outside the building of the Northern Economic Court of Appeals on Sholudenko Street.
As a reminder, we previously reported that during a court hearing at the Northern Economic Court of Appeals regarding the Upper Lavra case, a high-profile incident occurred: activist David Pshenychny physically assaulted a lawyer representing the interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).
