MP urges Interior Minister to investigate attack on priest and UOC believers in Ladyzhyn

Ukrainian MP Artyom Dmytruk has sent a parliamentary appeal to the head of the Interior Ministry demanding to investigate the attack on believers and a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that took place in Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia Region, on April 2, 2024. According to the MP, the attack involved 30 employees of the security firm «Alexander guaranty-group».

«The customer of this crime is the so-called head of the religious community of the PCU Mikhail Bondarenko, who previously hired bandits to seize the Kazan temple. It was these creatures in the number of 30 yesterday came to the church territory to maim the believers and clergymen of the UOC. All of them are active employees of the security firm «Alexander guaranty-group». This company operates in Vinnytsia, where it is registered. The owner of the firm is Alexander Medonchak», — wrote Dmytruk.

The MP drew attention to the fact that during the attack on the UOC community, there were representatives of the police, who did not hinder what was happening. Dmytruk demanded from the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs to conduct an internal investigation into the inaction of the police, and from the security firm «Alexander guaranty-group» to take away the license.

«I urge Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko to conduct an inspection of this company and take appropriate measures against them to deprive them of their license to carry out security activities. There is no place in our country for such scoundrels who can freely maim and kill peaceful people, and especially not on religious grounds. The reaction of law enforcement agencies, which stood by, saw everything and did not react in any way, is also impressive. In the most disgusting sense of the word. I also demand from the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to initiate an appropriate official check and take action against the so-called police officers», — summarized Artem Dmytruk.

We will remind, earlier we reported that on April 2, 2024 in Ladyzhyn, Vinnitsa region, a group of unknown persons attacked a temporarily adapted prayer room and beat a clergyman of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
