Details of the participation of the representative of the UOC in the enthronement of the Bulgarian Patriarch have been published

On July 30, 2024, with the blessing of Metropolitan Onufry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Augustine of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslavl, paid an official visit to the celebrations of the enthronement of the newly elected Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria, in the capital of Bulgaria. The Hierarch was accompanied by Archpriest Demetrius Marandyuk, the clergyman of the Bilotserkovo diocese. About it reports the website of the DECR of the UOC.
«On June 30, after the election and the rank of enthronement, at the solemn reception, Metropolitan Augustine read a welcoming word to the newly elected Patriarch from His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius of Kyiv and All Ukraine. Also the vladyka handed over to His Holiness Patriarch Daniel from the Primate of the UOC as a gift a liturgical set — a cross and two panagia», — stated in the message on the website of the DECR of the UOC.
Recall, earlier we reported that the head of the Phanar avoided co-service with the newly elected Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel, which was scheduled for July 1, 2024 in the Cathedral in honor of Alexander Nevsky in Sofia. Bartholomew left Bulgaria in advance, although the Bulgarian Patriarchate was preparing for the participation of the Patriarch of Constantinople in the festive service.
