Head of Lviv Regional State Administration threatened to sue the remaining UOC communities in the region

The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, has threatened the remaining communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the region with courts that will stop their activities. According to media reports, 17 UOC communities are still registered in the Lviv region. This was reported by the regional edition of “Your City”.

“These communities have the last chance to get out of the subordination of the Patriarch of Moscow and stop being accomplices of lies. I hope that representatives of these communities will make the right choice within 9 months. If not, the termination of their activities will take place in court. Let the truth always win, because where the truth is, God is there,” – said Maksym Kozytskyi.

As reported earlier, Oleksandr Drabynko, a former bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church who joined the OCU in 2018, claims that the adoption of Law No. 8371 banning the UOC will not properly affect its existence. The representative of the OCU is convinced that the UOC will continue to act, and, in his opinion, the process of finding new canonical models for the canonical Church with the support of the Patriarchate of Constantinople is underway.
