Zelensky promised to sign a law on same-sex partnerships

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that he will sign a law on LGBT partnerships, which will allow same-sex couples to marry in Ukraine. The head of state said this during a meeting with students. This information was reported on social media by a representative of the LGBT community, Mykyta Havryliuk, who asked Zelensky a question.
“At the meeting of Volodymyr Zelenskyy with students, I managed to ask what directly concerns me – civil partnerships. I am very proud of myself). I am very pleased with the answer. I believe that adequacy will prevail, the bill will pass, and I will finally be able to get married (because I want to). Thank you to the President,” Havryliuk wrote.
Earlier we reported that the UOC-KP revoked the award “For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine” presented on February 8, 2024, to Viktor Pylypenko, a serviceman of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Cossacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The reason was the soldier’s public support for the LGBT movement and his disclosure of his own non-traditional sexual orientation.
