Patriarch Bartholomew receives representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

On November 19, 2024, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople met with representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Phanar. The Ukrainian side was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Mishchenko. This is reported by orthodoxtimes.com.

“During the meeting, the Ecumenical Patriarch once again expressed support for the Mother Church of the people of Ukraine. The meeting was attended by the outgoing Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar, whom the Ecumenical Patriarch thanked for his cooperation during his stay in Turkey and expressed his best wishes for his further service at the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland. The meeting was attended by the Consul General of Ukraine in Constantinople Roman Nedilsky and his deputy Andriy Boyko,” – the publication reported.

We recall that on October 22, 2024, during the Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga, arrived at Phanar. The details of the visit are not yet known, but it is reported that the official met with members of the Synod.
