Ministry of Culture to Open Exhibition “Holy Trinity, Glory to You!” at Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

On June 30, the administration of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve will open an exhibition titled “Holy Trinity, Glory to You!” in the Assumption Cathedral. The event is dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council, where the core Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity was first affirmed. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture’s website.
The cathedral will feature over 30 pieces of ecclesiastical art, including Baroque-era icons, embroidered items, goldsmith works, early printed books, and engravings.
According to the organizers, “the exhibition aims to show how iconographic depictions of the Trinity have evolved over the centuries — from symbolic Old Testament scenes to expressive Baroque compositions reflecting the New Testament understanding of God in Three Persons. Special emphasis is placed on Ukrainian sacred art of the 17th–18th centuries — a period when the theme of the Trinity gained particular artistic power and national stylistic character.”
It was previously reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine ruled to oblige the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations regarding alleged misuse of budget funds by former Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko and his First Deputy Rostyslav Karandeyev.
