The court hearing in the case involving the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra has been postponed indefinitely

The court hearing in one of the cases concerning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s access to the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra has been postponed indefinitely. The UOC’s attorney, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, announced this decision and expressed gratitude to everyone who is offering prayerful and moral support in this situation.

“The court hearing has been postponed to an unspecified date and time! We thank everyone for their prayers and support,” Chekman wrote on his Telegram channel.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that the Northern Economic Court of Appeals had decided to continue hearing the case regarding the lease of premises at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, despite attempts by attorneys for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to postpone the hearing. The hearing on the merits of the appeal is scheduled for October 10.
