Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, will visit Belarus on June 20–22

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will visit the Republic of Belarus on June 20–22, 2026. The itinerary includes a divine service in Brest and participation in commemorative events at the “Brest Hero Fortress” memorial, marking the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War.
According to Orthodoxia News Agency, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church is scheduled to arrive in Brest on Saturday, June 20, according to official information.
The following day, June 21—the third Sunday after Matthew, which also marks the Feast of the Synaxis of the Saints of Belarus—Patriarch Kirill will preside over the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Brest.
Early in the morning on June 22, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church will take part in a memorial service at the “Brest Hero Fortress” memorial complex. The event will be dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War.
It is worth noting that Patriarch Kirill visited Belarus a year earlier: at that time, he held official meetings and presented an award to Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus.
