The cathedral of the Kherson diocese of the UOC suffered as a result of shelling

September 10, 2023, before the beginning of the Sunday Divine Liturgy, the Holy Spirit Cathedral of the city of Kherson was damaged as a result of shelling by the Russian army. This is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC with reference to the press service of the Kherson diocese.

It is noted that on the territory of the temple flew a cluster shell, as a result of which the central entrance, facade and outbuildings were damaged.

«By the grace of God and prayerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary through Her miracle-working Kasper image, which is the main shrine of the Cathedral, the shell did not explode, there were no victims,» — stated in the message of the diocesan press service.
