Lviv registrar, who “transferred” three UOC churches in Chernivtsi to the OCU, was previously awarded by Epiphany Dumenko

The registrar of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Solomiya Hryniv, who re-registered the Holy Spirit, St. Nicholas and St. Peter and Paul communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Chernivtsi to the OCU, was previously awarded a diploma “For Merit to the OCU” by the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko. This is reported by the Telegram channel of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the UOC.

“Ms. Solomiya Hryniv is the very registrar from Lviv who performs services for the re-registration of Orthodox churches in Bukovyna to Yaroslav Bodoryak (Bishop Theognost, OCU). On February 26, 2025, she re-registered the Holy Spirit Cathedral, St. Nicholas and St. Peter and Paul Churches to Yaroslav Bodoryak (Bishop Feognost, OCU). In the Court Register, Ms. Solomiya is a defendant in 5 court cases in connection with the illegal re-registration of religious communities in the Lviv region. She has been repeatedly awarded the distinction for services to the OCU,” — the press service of the diocese reported.

We will remind, earlier we reported that on February 26, 2025, the state registrar of the Lviv Regional State Administration Solomiya Hryniv re-registered the Holy Spirit, St. Nicholas and St. Peter and Paul communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the OCU. Yaroslav (Feognost) Bodoryak, the head of the Chernivtsi Diocese of the OCU, was appointed as the head of these religious organizations. The communities were re-registered despite the fact that the UOC communities had previously held a meeting at which they voted to refuse to change their confessional affiliation.
