704 religious sites damaged or completely destroyed in Ukraine as a result of the war

According to the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Olena Kovalska, 704 religious sites across the country have been damaged or completely destroyed as a result of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war. About 200 of them have been destroyed to the ground and require complete rebuilding.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, Kovalska specified that among the damaged religious buildings are temples, houses of worship, synagogues, mosques and other places of worship of various denominations. These are predominantly Orthodox sites, but the damage affected a wide range of religious communities. It also noted that some of the damage was intentional.
It was separately noted that among the approximately 200 completely destroyed temples and houses of worship are historical and architectural monuments, including unique wooden churches, which burned as a result of artillery strikes.
We shall remind you that according to the latest sociological survey conducted by the Razumkov Center, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the position of the most trusted institution among citizens, while the level of trust in the Verkhovna Rada remains extremely low. Interestingly, the Church is trusted by 65 percent of respondents, which puts it on a par with the Security Service of Ukraine.
