In Kalush, TRC officers forcibly conscripted a 58-year-old priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

In the city of Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, an incident occurred involving the detention of a 58-year-old clergyman of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Vladimir Pryimak, who is currently being forcibly held at a regional recruitment center, reports this via “First Cossack.”

According to the information received, the conflict began with the unlawful actions of an unknown individual who entered the priest’s property while under the influence of drugs. The intruder behaved aggressively: he made noise, threw stones at Father Vladimir and his car, and damaged the priest’s property. When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they suggested that the archpriest accompany them to the police station, ostensibly to file a report regarding the crime.

However, instead of filing a report regarding the unlawful trespass onto private property, the priest was taken to the TRC. At this time, it is known that Father Vladimir, who has been diagnosed with serious heart problems, continues to be held at the distribution center. Parishioners are convinced that the priest’s transfer to the military registration and enlistment office was a planned operation. It is worth noting that this is not the first instance of pressure being exerted on this clergyman—earlier, at the start of full-scale hostilities, the St. John’s Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the city of Dolyna, where he served, , was forcibly closed by local activists.
