Head of the Church of Constantinople in the United States congratulates Trump on his election as president

The head of the Greek Archdiocese of the United States (Patriarchate of Constantinople), Archbishop Elpidophoros (Lambriniadis) of America, congratulated Donald Trump on his election as President of the United States of America. Elpidophoros also addressed a congratulatory speech to the future Vice President of the United States, J. D. Vance. This is reported by The Orthodox Times.

“The voice of America has spoken. Congratulations to President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect Senator J.D. Vance. May God guide us to heal our differences and build a brighter tomorrow through faith and community,” — Elpidophoros wrote on social media.

Earlier, we reported that the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail, sent a congratulatory letter to the newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump. The Metropolitan assured Trump of his prayerful support and expressed hope that under his presidency, peace will come to Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be able to continue to fulfill its mission unhindered.
