Recall, earlier we reported that the Vatican continues to expand the “Overton window” in the issue of the Roman Catholic Church’s attitude to LGBT. After the recent scandal with the declaration “Fiducia supplicans”, which in the RCC allowed the blessing of same-sex couples, the “Holy See” approved a document allowing open homosexuals to become clergy. The new document from the Italian Bishops’ Conference states that open homosexuality is no longer a barrier to candidates for the priesthood.
Hungarian Parliament bans gay pride parades in the country

On March 18, 2025, the Hungarian Parliament banned gay pride parades in the country. Authorities will be able to use facial recognition tools to identify people attending banned events. This is reported by the AP agency.
It is reported that Hungarian lawmakers passed a law on Tuesday, March 18, that bans LGBT pride parades. The law was passed by 136 votes to 27. The law, supported by Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party, was pushed through parliament on an expedited basis after it was submitted a day earlier.
The document amends the Hungarian law on assemblies to make it an offense to hold or attend events that violate Hungarian “child protection” legislation, which prohibits the “depiction or promotion” of homosexuality among minors under 18. Attending a prohibited event will be punishable by a fine of up to 200 thousand Hungarian forints (equivalent to 20 thousand hryvnias), which the state will transfer to “child protection”.
