MP Boyko draws attention to ban on UOC

Yuriy Boyko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament from the Opposition Platform for Life and Peace party, published a video message in which he described the political contradictions that have intensified in the country. Among other things, Boyko mentioned the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which he considers unacceptable. Boyko posted the video with the statement on his TikTok account, according to Hromadske.
“Our radicals began to demolish monuments across the country, rename cities, forbid people to speak their native language, forbid them to go to the church they want to go to. And today we see that this movement continues, that violence against people continues,” – the MP said.
Earlier, former MP Ihor Mosiychuk criticized Vladimir Zelensky and the current government of Ukraine for holding secular events in the Refectory Church of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The politician is convinced that Zelensky’s government, under the guise of fighting the Moscow Patriarchate, is pursuing a systematic policy of destroying Orthodoxy as the most widespread religion in Ukraine. At the same time, he added that the OCU, instead of opposing such processes, condones what is happening.
