There is only a part of a joke in every joke

A few days before the conclave, the US president publishes a photo of himself in papal vestments. He had previously joked that he would not mind becoming the new pontiff. And so, in record time, a new pope is elected, and it is a cardinal from the United States who was not even among the favorites. What does this mean?

The United States is strengthening its leadership in the world, and this development will affect the future of humanity. The deliberate religiosity of the new US government, all these “ash crosses” on the head and other “pro-Christian” actions indicate that religion is one of the determining factors in their political discourse.

To all of this we must add Patriarch Bartholomew, who seems to be willing to unite with Catholics tomorrow, but tries to do everything aesthetically, with historical interlacing, to make it easier to “accommodate the unaccommodable.” In short, the one world religion is much closer than it seems. And the United States and the Vatican will play a crucial role in this play.
