Recall, earlier we reported that the Vatican continues to expand the “Overton window” in the issue of the Roman Catholic Church’s attitude to LGBT. After the recent scandal with the declaration “Fiducia supplicans”, which in the RCC allowed the blessing of same-sex couples, the “Holy See” approved a document allowing open homosexuals to become clergy. The new document from the Italian Bishops’ Conference states that open homosexuality is no longer a barrier to candidates for the priesthood.
A lesbian woman has been elected as the new “archbishop” of the Anglican “church.”

On July 30, 2025, for the first time in the history of the Anglican Church, a woman was elected to the position of Archbishop of Wales. The new Archbishop of Wales is 66-year-old Cherry Elizabeth Vann, who is openly lesbian and has been in an LGBT marriage for the past 10 years. This was reported by The Guardian.
“Wynn, 66, was elected on Wednesday after two days of discussions by an electoral college consisting of clergy and lay people at St. Peter’s Church near Chepstow,” – the article says.
It is noted that Vann is the first woman to be allowed to serve as a priest in the Anglican Church. Among other things, she belongs to the LGBT community. As one of the first women ordained as a priest in the Anglican Church, Vann has served as Bishop of Monmouth since 2020 and will continue to hold this position alongside her ministry as head of the Church in Wales. In 2021, she became the head of the Open Table Network, an organization that supports an ecumenical network of LGBT communities throughout England and Wales.
