Lithuania Warns of Possible Russian Attack on Easter: Ukraine’s MFA Urges Vigilance

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi commented on Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys’ statement about a possible Russian attack on Ukraine during Easter, calling it an assumption rather than an announcement. This was reported by Nv.ua.

“We regard these words as an assumption based on logic: if Russia regularly launches strikes against Ukraine, then nothing can be ruled out even on Easter,” Tykhyi said during a briefing on April 16.

He stressed that Ukrainian citizens must remain vigilant and not neglect safety rules.

“Even simple, mechanical adherence to instructions can save lives. Please be cautious both on Easter and on all other days,” the spokesman urged.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian media are publishing schedules of Easter religious broadcasts. Air time has been allocated to the OCU, UGCC, and even Roman Catholics. Meanwhile, it appears that no broadcasts of Ukrainian Orthodox Church Easter services are planned.
